Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the global break, but will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a range of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest album, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

My son advised me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

Fulham have got lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's home record, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
